nine more liesI played bass in this band when I was studying at Sheffield University. I left for Japan and they replaced me with a fella who had more strings on his bass. nine more lies was my first proper band. We rehearsed, we gigged, we even recorded some songs in a proper studio with a bearded man sitting behind a glass screen talking to us over an intercom. Any success we had can be attributed directly to the ability of our vocalist, who had a powerful falsetto that raised us above the countless other Sheffield bands that were also churning out indierock with reverb-heavy guitars. During my brief spell as their bassist we recorded an EP. Enjoy. We recorded an EP on the gorgeous Jeff Lee's laptop. My parts were recorded in the living room of one J.W.Wang, editor of the estimable juked, through a Line6 POD guitar amp modeller.
